Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You usually lay a bet ($1 is the usual value) to try to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though big jackpots like these are particularly alluring, they are also particularly difficult to win. You would have to get a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this bet. Also, picture this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side bet every time. That’s $20 you could have used towards the actual game bet in place of a sucker bet. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a wager with greater odds employing that 20 dollars.
Individual number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just one. This shifts the complete house advantage from 2.63% with one zero wheel to a whopping fivepercent in American. The single number wager has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets as a substitute which have a much lower casino advantage.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you bet on it, the casino edge can be a huge 25%. Yes, that was not a error. Because of the large amount of numbers you have to select, it isn’t recommended to play Keno very much. A couple of times for entertainment, maybe. But do not spend all your cash on it or you’ll immediately discover yourself broke.
